The Nokia N82, N95 & N95 8GB All Updated To The v35 Firmware

In a surprise but very welcome development, the N82 and both variants of the N95 have received a firmware update, taking them to v35. Specifically, the N95 (RM-159) is upto 35.0.02 & the N95 8GB (RM-320) is at 35.0.01 and the latest firmware for the N82 is now v35.0.002.

There is no changelog available yet and I am going through my drawers to look for my own N95 to update. Just a word of caution before you dive in yourself, just remember there is no user data preservation, so make sure …

The N95 8GB Hits v31.0.015 – Minor Update

Nokia has rolled out the new v31 firmware for the N95 8GB. The firmware 130.8MB in size, is now available via the NSU for most non branded phones. This seems to be a minor update and doesn’t bring any substantial change to the device. Since, the phone doesn’t support User Data Preservation, make you backup before upgrading.

A word of caution for those who like to ‘hack’ their N95 8GB’s, with v31 that won’t work. Other changes include minor bug fixes, better browser stability and speed improvements.

T9 Nav: The Next Killer Application For S60

Ladies and Gentlemen it is my pleasure to present to you, what in my opinion is going to be the next killer application for S60 devices. In the comments section of the QWERTY v. T9 speed test article, Tim mentioned an application called T9 Nav which I have only been able to try it today and it has blown my mind.
T9 Nav is a mobile search application that lets you find anything on your phone by just typing in the first few letters of whatever you’re looking for. …

It seems as if Nokia is sure going all guns blazing to keep the American Nokia owners happy. After yesterday’s long awaited update for the N95-3, today comes an update for its 8GB sibling. The latest firmware for the N95-4 is now v20.2.005 and is available via NSU.
Details on what it brings are thin on the moment but there seems to be no user data preservation and no Auto Rotation for sure. My guess is that like the E90 firmware jump from v200.34.72 to v210.34.75 that brought nothing but for …

E90, N95 8GB, Reviews »

A little while back I wrote a N82 and N95 8GB comparison to pick out a winner and although close but the 8GB won. When we look at the Eseries for a flagship, there is only one device looking us in the face, the E90. While Nseries has a tendency of churning out flagship devices at a quick clip, this isn’t quite the case with Eseries. Traditionally Eseries has been all business with poor cameras, the old pop port, not so great music and so on while the Nseries has been …

The N95 8GB or the N95-2 is the successor to the N95 Classic (N95-1). A lot has been already said about the device both positive and negative; it has generally been dubbed as Nokia’s answer to the loads of complaints people have had with the original. Now being a device which benefited from public feedback, Nokia had to get this right. This post investigates how successful has it been in the endeavour.

There are times when pictures speak louder than words and this seems such a time. Jump over for almost 50 shots of Nokia’s flagship. Right from the slide to the screen I am really liking this device! View on Ovi!
