Nokia Music Becomes DRM Free – Turns Into Ovi Music In The Process

I have just received an awesome email from the Nokia India Music store with the much awaited news that Nokia Music is finally going DRM free and that it will soon merge into the Ovi brand. The email carries no specific date for the transition to occur, we can only hope it happens soon.
DRM free means that you can use the music you downloaded from the Nokia store on any device, be it your computer, mobile phone or mp3 player. After Ovi Maps going free, Nokia saw a lot of …

Demo Of Nokia’s High Speed Wireless Transfer Concept – Explore & Share From My Visit To TWWLN

As I have told you before, I had gone to Helsinki for The Way We Live Next event last year and Nokia had some really interesting demos from the work being done at the Nokia Research Center. There I was fortunate to witness and be able to witness, interview and film a demo of the Explore & Share concept that allows wireless data transfer at very high speeds.
The setup is based on a new radio technology built from a scratch. At Nokia house it was being demoed on a specially …

Two Interesting Videos From The Nokia Human Research Department

Two days ago I received this flash drive from the ‘Nokia Human Research Department’ courtesy of the good people at WOM World. Inside it were two videos showcasing the effect small has on people and how it was the inspiration for the Mini. You might have seen these videos on the web before but I will be honest and admit that despite seeing them, I hadn’t taken the time to watch them.

As it turns turns out, I was missing out of two pretty interesting videos, do check them out if …

Get The Default N900 Wallpaper For Your Device

There is something about the default N900 wallpapers that makes the device come alive, the inherent freshness is indeed refreshing. Since Nokia’s touch devices also have fairly large screens (with a slightly lower resolution), I figured it would be a good idea to load these up on my N97 and I am glad to say it did look good.

The S60 5th Edition software automatically resizes the picture to fit the image in the landscape mode and it crops out a part of the image to make it look good in …
