I would love to update the firmware of my phone to fix all the bugs and get new features. Unfortunately I can't due to stupid operator lockdown. It always just sais no new Firmware available for your device. I don't know how widespread a problem Operator customization of FW is in other countries, but here in the UK it seems like a good chunk of phones fall into this category and therefore don't get FW updates at all, or only with large delays.

In my opinion auto-update should inform you that there is an update and will ask if you want to download it now orlet it wait and give you time to go to a WiFi station. course everyone doesn't have datapackages and so on so it would become expensive.

Automatic updates is a great idea but what I fail to understand is why the discrimination on the basis of product code/ country (indirectly) The last update for E51 came in May this year. I am still waiting to upgrade. Beats my logic.

All product codes should be updated at the same time. If Nokia wants to penetrate the NAM market, give us users a reason to brag on the service we get. What is going on with the E71-2 update to v300 is riduculous.
