Introducing The Mobile Version Of ‘The Symbian Blog’

By - Vaibhav Sharma On 5 January 2009 6 Comments

I have been wanting to do this for a long time now but couldn’t due to one or the other reason. However, after much adieu, here is presenting the mobile version of The Symbian Blog. There is no URL change or anything, simply fire up the usual website URL on your mobile and you should be greeted with the mobile version of the site.

Also, in case you found the site to be down for a little while sometime back, it was because we were upgrading to Wordpress 2.7. Everything seems to have gone on well, if you encounter a problem kindly let me know.

  • Next time you visit from the mobile, you should be greeted with this.

  • Of course, if you prefer the desktop version, the option to switch to it is there.

  • The comments can be viewed by simply clicking a link at the bottom of the post.

  • Here is an example.

  • Choose ‘Post’ leave a comment.

Hopefully you will like the new addition, as always feedback is welcome.

    Great news!

But could you post an URL for the mobile version for people who dont use Symbian’s built-in browser, and for people who use apps like the iPhonesque mod to change their browser user agent string?

    Thanx!

Hi, well the same http://thesymbianblog.com/ URL should work with any browser iPhone/BB/Windows. If anyone wants the desktop version, it can be browsed by simply clicking on the ‘View Full Version’ link at the bottom of the page.

    Shivaram, glad you liked it.
