Hi,
My name is Dinesh

I have NOKIA N96 with DVB-H mobile TV. How does it work, I am from INDIA (Mumbai), and trying to get free or even paid channels. Do I need GPRS for it or what I have to do to get it working, I am already have GPRS Activated on my Phone. I have Firmware V30.033. When I open icon Live TV it says Searching for TV Channels and then it says (No TV Signal in current location).

PLEASE HELP MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEE.

hi guyz..
I got N96 a week b4…For my surprise(agony) it has very few limited features(though some may work 4 future only) which r available in most of the lower order phones..no tv maps for major cities and also lot of hangups…Think twice b4 ur leap.. Any debate mail me @ prem_gct87@yahoo.co.in

Mobile TV seems nice, but I preffer music more. When listening it gives me time to look around and think about other things.

But, awesome option.

Vaibhav, if its not too much of an effort, could you use another phone to capture an image of N96 running a TV channel ? Possible a video ?
So, its definitely not working outside Delhi. Mumbai et all ?

nice post…pushes to change my views in favour of the N96…it is good as a complete package…but still i think it does not have enough to make a high end n-series user change his phone.

yeah i also saw it wrkin at Mobile expo, pragati maidan, new delhi, feb 2008, quality ws pretty good, sme cricket match ws gng on, d thing is dat Doordarshan has its centre in central delhi, pragati maidan falls in that are, so it ws catchin d channels, else d tv does not wrks in whole of delhi, a certain reception area is required.

Hardeep, while I was in Delhi I tried taking screenshots of it in action. But sadly when the TV was live and I took a shot, all I got was a blank black screen.

But I can vouch for the quality completely.

This is one trick up N96’s sleeve that I knew would work in its favour, atleast in India for sure. @Vaibhav, Please add some screenshots of Doordarshan, although nobody watches it these days but its still better than not having anything.
