New Firmware v30.0.019 Out For The N82
After the N95 Classic and the N95 8GB its now time for the N82 to get its v30 firmware. The v30.0.019 firmware for the N82 is now available for the Euro 1 product codes. The update is expected to be made available on other product codes shortly.
The update will most likely bring improvements similar to those on the N95 8GB such as full the N-Gage client, Google plug-in for search, Maps 2.0 amongst other improvements and bug fixes. The update is available for 0558752 and 0558655, so if you can’t wait, just change the product code and update.

Vaibhav.
My product code is 0554—.
I did not get the concept of changing the product code and updating.
You think it will not create problems for the phone to function properly?
Can we do this and still use our phones just the way we are using it right now?
Ashu, generally changing the product code and updating is not a problem at all. I’ve changed mine and updated for ages now. However, this N82 firmware seems to be bricking a few phones, so I’d advise waiting a little.
Yeah. Ricky’s got bricked!
Hope he recovers it.

what do u mean with what u said: “However, this N82 firmware seems to be bricking a few phones, so I’d advise waiting a little.”???
what do u mean by ur word “bricking”???
sorry i can’t really understand English that well,,,,
pls respond,,, thnx,,
Its a slang for ‘break’. Since in this case if the phone got wreaked due to firmware error, the phone now seem like a useless ‘brick’
The update btick-ed my n82 too but I followed some instructions to recover it that popped out in the software updater ant it worked: remove the battery and charger, reconnect battery and charger, press power button for a few seconds and press recovery on the software updater. Now I have v30 and it’s working fine (a bit faster too)
