Symbian Freak reported a few days back about availability of Windows Live client for Nokia in USA and a few more European countries. I’m happy to say that it is also available for download in India, just go to download! in the Menu and you’ll find the client listed as Mail, IM.

The Share online configuration for Windows Live Spaces is still missing but at least now the mail and IM client is available officially in India. Go ahead, download it!

Wow! Nokia is really turning it on these past few days. After updates for the N95-3, N95-4 and the E61i, the E51 is the latest to have got this blessing. This update takes the firmware on the E51 up from v100.34.30 to v200.34.36. The firmware is still not available across all product codes, 0546184 seems to have it. Sadly, few details are available as to the improvements, there are no ground breaking additions though (No FL3). It also prevents ROM modding, if you care.
In case you are running Vista and want to upgrade, just hit Properties on the NSU, in the Compatability tab select XP SP2 and the software should work just fine from there on, allowing you to update.

Symbian-Guru brings news that the E61i is the latest Nokia to receive a firmware update, this takes its current version from v1.0633.22.05 to v3.0633.69.00. The update doesn’t seem to be available across all regions but it has been confirmed to show up on the 0549434 product code. This update doesn’t seem to bring any major chances apart from the usual bug fixes and under the hood tweaks. If you find something new or different, do leave us a comment.
Grab the NSU here. [Update: You can find the complete changelog after the break.]

We’ve seen a few pictures of the Black version of the E90 float around the internet these past few days. The new ‘improved version’ apart from coming in black takes care of the keypad caused marks that used to be left on the inner screen by implementing a redesigned lower-profile keyboard. Initial reports suggest that this has made typing on the inner keyboard feel worse. Further, on a more cosmetic note, the new E90 also has blackened hinges to go with its full black outlook. I personally love black coloured phones but somehow I don’t really like this one, specially those hinges! In my opinion, and feel free to disagree, the E90 in Mocha looks much more ‘regal’.
As far the smuging on the mocha E90 goes, that can be taken care of a simple screen protector that costs not more than 5 Euros and the cleaning cloth that comes with it. I have personally been using the E90 for over two months and every couple of days I just wipe the screen clean with any soft cloth and its back to being brand new. Plus since I’m not rubbing the screen directly, this won’t affect its anti glare coating either.
To get you back from the E90 Black’s spell, here are a few shots of the E90 in all its Mocha Glory.

It seems as if Nokia is sure going all guns blazing to keep the American Nokia owners happy. After yesterday’s long awaited update for the N95-3, today comes an update for its 8GB sibling. The latest firmware for the N95-4 is now v20.2.005 and is available via NSU.
Details on what it brings are thin on the moment but there seems to be no user data preservation and no Auto Rotation for sure. My guess is that like the E90 firmware jump from v200.34.72 to v210.34.75 that brought nothing but for some under the hood fixes while disabling the hack, this new firmware will do just that. (Via: S60 Blogger)
[Update: The hack still works.]

All you N95-3 owners rejoice, after months of waiting the v20 firmware is out! Fire up the NSU to get going. This firmware brings Flash Video support in the browser, a 19 second bootup time, a 2 second camera load time, the search shortcut to the standby screen and most probably demand paging. There seems to be no automatic screen rotation though.

I am not a very bluetooth headset person. Infact till about a year back I won’t have even considered wearing one. But with time, thankfully they have become much better looking, slim, sleek and wearable. Courtesy of the good people at WOM World, I was able to get my hands the BH-703, one of the best looking headsets in the market today. I have been using it for a few days now and in this post I try and bring you my thoughts on it.

These pictures are apparently from a convention held by an Italian operator TIM for dealers. After the FCC sighting yesterday and now this, the official announcement can’t be far!
It appears as if the sim free E71 will retail for 449 Euros and the E66 for 429 Euros. (That’s exorbitant! But may be its just the initial price for that region, I wish I could read Italian!))

As far as specifications go, S60 3rd FP1, 3.2M camera AF (with an LED flash) and GPS have been confirmed for both of them as well. E71 and E66 come with 1500mAh BP-4L and 1000mAh BL-4U batteries respectively. Nokia where is the official announcement? I love both these phones!
