If Flickr/Ovi Doesn’t Show Up In Share Online 3

Although a simple refresh of the “Add New Services” option should bring up all the three services namely Ovi, Vox and Flickr up I still cannot get them on the phone OTA without me having to put that extra effort in. Where’s the glitch Nokia?

Anyway there is a very simple solution to the problem, just download the respective configuration (.cfg) file and send it to the phone and save it. Now the services will show up.

Download:

- Ovi Share

- Flickr

Still, we shouldn’t be having to do this!

Have you tried reporting this to the Beta Labs team via the Feedback link on the site? It has also happened to me,specifically I didn’t get Flickr. I don’t mind however, since I have yet to get Flickr, but it is a rather strange issue,I do agree.

I didn’t do that because I am sure a lot of people already have, I was concentrating on the solution!
What is worse is that it will be small things such as this that will pull Ovi and other endeavours back.

Have you tried Wavelog for mobile blogging directly to your own WordPress site without going to ovi, flickr, vox etc?

  • Vaibhav Sharma said:

I haven’t really used it much. But Ovi is very different and the amount of upload space available for a plethora of file types is unmatched.

What’s new, is that the application now supports - in addition to Flickr and Vox - a brand new-service Share on Ovi in following countries:

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Laos, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, South-Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, U.S.A., Venezuela, Vietnam.

Thanks for the heads up! But I wonder why can’t we once for a change have a universal rollout.

    Hello,

the Share on Ovi file seems to be missing from Mosh. Did you take it out of there?

Have a problem that Flicker doen’t show up with SoL 3.0 (I see Ovi and Vox). Tried copying flickr.cfg file to the phone, but no result whatsoever? I guessed this might be because Flicker doesn’t support my country, but still…is there no way to cuircumwent this? Went to far to even change the product code on my phone but no luck.

Vaibhav, is there a way to point to the cfg file or should it be stored/saved in a special folder on the phone?

Now I’m using ShoZu to get my pictures up to Flickr, but would like to use SoL if anyone knows how?

Hi Daniel, Did you send the .cfg over bluetooth to the inbox and then open it? Once you do that it should work!

Hi Vaibhav, I got Flickr file and it does not work as OVI Share, I can only upload to Flickr, But With OVI Share i can get updates, Can u tell me is this coz of CFG file or coz i am from india….

  • Vaibhav Sharma said:

Arjun, Updates is a Ovi based service and to my knowledge Flickr doesn’t do that. It has nothing to do with your location.

Thanks for the config files! Flickr worked but for some strange reason, Ovi didn’t.

Hi, is there a way to use Nokia Online share to post to blogger.com?

  • Vaibhav Sharma said:

I’m afraid not. Shozu might help though.
